Lincolnshire Lancers proudly reached the semi-finals at Newcastle Ravens’ annual Hadrian’s Cup tournament.
The tournament held at Newcastle Falcon’s ground saw the Lancers up against London Stags first.
Captain for the day Logan Teague, vice captain Alex Wright and Owen Elliott all scored tries in a dominant 4-0 win.
The Lancers then faced a much tougher fixture against Touch Barbarians and, although they played their hearts out, they lost 5-2 to an ultimately stronger side. Alex Wright scored both of the Lancers tries in that game.
A very tough game against hosts Newcastle Ravens followed with Alex Wright, Owen Elliott and Josef Langmead all scoring tries in a hard-fought 3-3 draw.
The Lancers were pitted against West London Warriors in the semi-final and were struggling with injuries at this stage of the tournament.
The team based at Lincoln Rugby Club continued to battle hard and only narrowly lost 2-1, with Logan Teague scoring their try.
Josef Langmead and Kayson Garrett were named as the Lancers’ players of the day for their incredible defensive work.
