Adam Phillips and Andy Pierce scored the tries as Lincoln's 3rd XV battled bravely throughout in a 52-10 defeat away against Bourne.
Lincoln started the game with just 13 players and Bourne allowed two of their squad to play for the visitors in a game played a good spirit.
Bourne started strongly and took a commanding 31-0 lead in at the break.
The hosts increased their advantage to 52-0, but Lincoln refused to give up and were rewarded with two late tries to reduce the deficit in the score.
Tom Law went on a long run through the Bourne defence before popping the ball to Lincoln's man-of-the-match Adam Phillips. The second row received the ball around five yards from the try line before scoring to the right of the posts.
From the kick-off, centre Andy Pierce caught the ball and stepped past a few Bourne players before going over for a try under the posts.
After the match, Lincoln's 3rd XV captain Adam Kelleher said: "It was a really good performance from the team, including an incredible number of turnovers won from rucks and minimal penalties given away.
"I would like to give a mention to a man-of-the-match performance from Adam Phillips and a cracking farewell performance from Andy Pierce in his last game for the club.
"I am really proud of the performance and the guys have now earned their break before their next game away against Gainsborough 2nds."
