The newly formed Lincoln Ladies 2nd XV continued their positive progress when they faced Southwell and Market Rasen in their third Allianz Inner Warrior fixture.
A combined Lincoln and Gainsborough side battled hard against Southwell and came out on top with a hard-fought 12-5 victory.
The team continued to show great determination and character in their second match of the day on Sunday - a narrow 12-0 defeat against Market Rasen & Louth’s Vixens.
The squad included five Lincoln players - Faye Barnes, Emma O’Rourke, Lucy Weekes, Alice Ward, Connie Suffield.
Ladies Assistant Coach Sam McCabe-Hogan said: “The Lincoln and Gainsborough Ladies played their third game and have come on really well. The team cohesion is good and confidence levels are building.”
