Lincoln Colts put in a fantastic performance as the youngsters finished as runners-up in the Newark 10's tournament.
Lincoln travelled to Newark with only 10 players so had to borrow a few from other teams at times to boost numbers.
The club's youngsters soared through an impressive group stages with three victories, in which they scored six tries and only conceded two.
Lincoln beat rivals Market Rasen 7-0 in the semi-final before losing to a strong and well-prepared Newark side in the final, but the boys gave their all against bigger teams and did themselves proud.
Colts coach James Johnson said: “With only turning up with a team of 10, the boys played fantastically against much bigger squads.
"They scored some outstanding tries and put in some excellent defensive efforts. We now want to use this as a springboard for the start of the season when we will get more players back.”
