Lincoln Rugby Club are proud to announce that a player from for our Under-18's Girls team has been selected to represent NLD at the same age group level.
Izzy Vinter, who is 16-years-old and plays at scrum-half, attended an NLD trial at Sleaford Rugby Club on February 6.
After impressing at the trial, Izzy was selected for the NLD Under-18's squad, who she will link up with for a training session on Sunday, February 20. The girls in the Under-18 category are from clubs all over the region, including, Lincoln, Kesteven, Sleaford, Newark, Paviors and Mansfield.
Izzy will then be hoping to be selected to make her debut in the match at Sleaford on March 20
Speaking of her delight at her daughter being selected in the squad, Izzy's mum Anna said: "We are very proud of her and her hard work."
It is not just rugby where Izzy is shining this year as she has also been selected to be part of a team to represent Lincolnshire in a cross county run in March.

This follows the success of Lincoln duo Ben Crowe and Jack Randall, who have featured for the club's senior 1st XV this season and were selected in the NLD Under-20s squad for the match against Durham in the Jason Leonard Cup.
The game ended in a narrow 18-15 win for Durham, but Lincoln Rugby Club are proud of all three players for their success in being called up to their respective NLD squads in 2022.
